20 Films We Should Watch in the Mumbai Film Festival 2012

Cosmopolis opened the competition for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival 2012.
Go through Manhattan in a limo for a haircut, an asset multimillonariogestor aged 28, became an odyssey with a cast of characters that begin to break his world. The film stars Robert Pattinson, Paul Giamatti, Samantha Morton, Sarah Gadon, Juliette Binoche and Amalric Mathier.
David Cronenberg born in Canada is dubbed as the 'king of venereal horror "or" The Baron of Blood'. He won this state after the release of two of his horror films, Rabid and They Came from Within. Since then, he has been the author of many films of the same genre and has garnered much praise from critics worldwide.

Don de Lillo (Cosmopolis Author) Mentions Rob
Yeah, it was incredibly faithful to the book. Sure, Cronenberg cut some scenes, but it's completely true to the spirit of the novel. Of course it did not intend to comment when I read it, became his film. It's my novel, but it's your movie, no doubt about it. Then, this past March saw the film in New York, when he finished. I was really impressed. Since opening credits: an awesome idea to begin with Jackson Pollock and Rothko final. And the final scene with Robert Pattinson and Paul Giamatti, is amazing.
You've seen his version of "Naked Lunch"?
Yeah, it's amazing. It is exactly the kind of surprise waiting around Cosmopolis. When you meet him? He was also in Estoril. But there is much talk about the project to adapt the book, I wanted to stay away. We talked a bit about the fact that being filmed primarily in Toronto, I could see that he knew what he was doing. Probably talking about the protagonist, but that person could not do it, eventually. Later, when Paul told me about Robert Pattison, I thought my niece finally 14, I look with admirable.

Metric on Writing for Robert Pattinson Films
Before we caught Metric's amazing set last night at Radio City Music Hall as part of Fuse Music Week, members Emily Haines and James Shaw gave a wide-ranging interview to Yasmine Richard about creating the band's latest album Synthetica (expanding on our recent Q&A with the singer),meeting Lou Reed, hanging out with Robert Pattinson and Haines' first trip to Radio City to see Dionne Warwick.
"My parents brought me in and it really cracks me up because fluorescent was really in at that time and then this summer, when it came around New York, I was like, ‘I can’t. I’m not doing this, you guys,'" says Haines. "This happened the year that I went to see Dionne Warwick. I’m not going back."
Haines also dispelled oft-told stories about Reed's storied crankiness. “There’s a real chemistry with us," Haines says of Reed, who joined the group last night for "The Wanderlust" and Velvet Underground's "Pale Blue Eyes." "The thing that people have misunderstood about Lou Reed throughout his life is that he’s a very kind man. He doesn’t have any patience, at least in the stage of his life that I’m meeting him in, for any kind of bulls—t. He’s a really warm guy.”
The same can be said for Robert Pattinson, whose films Twilight: Eclipse and Cosmopolis have both featured music from the band. "We ended up meeting the guy and hanging out with him and he’s a really good person," Haines says. "He’s become a bit of a friend,” adds Shaw.

The World Soundtrack Academy announced the list of candidates for its 2012 awards to be presented in three categories: "Film Composer of the Year", "Best Original Score of the Year" and "Best Original Song Written Directly for a Film." The winners will be announced at World Soundtrack Awards & concert on Saturday, October 20 the closing night of the Ghent International Film Festival. Nominees:

New Rob's Interview - In Their Own Words
E-Book Looking extremely casual in an old t-shirt, baseball cap, faded jeans and a little unshaven, Pattinson, 26, looks happy and relaxed to have the movie that changed his life behind him. As usual, he doesn’t talk about his relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart, but talks a little of what’s to come post-Twilight, as well as addressing the rumours about him playing the lead in the film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey. He will next star in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis.
Q: So now that it’s finally over, let’s go back. What was the most touching moment for you in the movie, including the one we haven’t seen yet?
Out of the whole series?
Q: Yeah, what touched you the most and the hardest one?
Probably that a bit in the first one, just when Bella is in the hospital, and she says, ‘Don’t ever leave me again,’ and I say, ‘Where am I going to go?’ or something like that. I still think that’s kind of my favorite scene in it mainly because it was so different what happened after it, and we made up the lines there and that’s how different the shoot was. Like every movie afterwards, the idea of making up lines, is kind of just unheard of and so I loved that bit. But the hardest was probably the birth scene in the first part of this one mainly because it was hilarious, and it was supposed to be really serious. (laughs) And there was one shot where we had to look directly into the camera, and I was crying with laughter, and I’d have to go down and chew the baby out and I would like, I was stopping tears from coming out of my eyes, and it looks like I’m crying in the thing. And I’m not supposed to be able to cry as a vampire and I’m like crying in the scene but I was laughing.

Cosmopolis Will Be Compete at Bucharest International Experimental Festival 2012
"Cosmopolis ", the latest film directed by David Cronenberg and also production which showed at Cannes that Robert Pattinson actually has talent, will have two screenings in Romania.
This festival will be held from 20 to 25 October at the Cinema Studio and Cinema Elvira Popescu Bucharest.

Saad Siddiqui Mentions Rob
Siddiqui is also happy to have met a few well-known actors at the festival, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt and Diane Kruger. On working with Hollywood directors like David Cronenberg, who directed him in the Robert Pattinson-led Cosmopolis, he says, “The last three Hollywood directors I have worked with are all wonderful and great. I really enjoyed working with David Cronenberg and Ruba Nadda as I have watched their films over the years.
He also enjoyed working with Pattinson, calling him a “very talented actor and a very kind and caring human being”, before recalling how welcoming he was when they first met on set and how enjoyable the experience was.

Woody Allen, Robert Pattinson and horror film this fall

The month of October has a name: Robert Pattinson. Actor who presents two films. The first, ' Bel Ami ', will be released on October 5. In the period piece, the actor plays Georges Duroy, a young man without talent but attractive social climber getting through ease with women. Then, coinciding with the long weekend (the weekend of October 11), Pattinson will play a young multi-billionaire in trouble in ' Cosmopolis ', a critique of capitalism.
It is the only one who continues his career beyond the Twilight saga. Kirsten Stewart also returns to our screens on October 19 with ' On the Road ', a wild and outrageous road trip in the late '40s.
