Hey, fellow "Twilight" fans! Do you know we are less than two months away from "Breaking Dawn - Part 2"? Time (hopefully) flies when you're eagerly anticipating the conclusion to an epic franchise.
Last week, we had the "Twilight" marathon news to be excited about, in addition to Kristen Stewart's teasery about a possible surprise ending. This week's "Twilight" Tuesday is dedicated to some speculation about the movie's music, specifically which artists might make it onto the final soundtrack.
MORE UNDER THE CUT
The two acts that have already been confirmed are Passion Pit and Iko. The specific song from Passion Pit has yet to be confirmed, but we're guessing it will come from their latest album, Gossamer. Passion Pit are an interesting choice, because their sound is mostly happy electro pop, which is in contrast with past albums full of slower, emotionally charged songs. The Iko track is "Heart of Stone," which fits nicely into that tug-on-your-heartstrings theme from the "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" soundtrack.
This is not to say that we shouldn't expect some power anthems or upbeat tracks, especially since we're pretty sure things end in a happy place with this movie. So who else will make the cut? I've seen some fans pushing for more Muse, which seems a fitting selection given Stephenie Meyer's love for the band. I'd love some rock ballad or rock anthem on this album — the latter being a great fit for that final battle between the Cullen-assembled army versus the Volturi or the training montages, for that matter.
Let's also not forget that several of the film's castmembers are also musicians. Fans have been dying for Robert Pattinson to lend his voice to another album, but the actor is notoriously shy about his music. Maybe he's made an exception for this final film? I saw some other campaigns for a Billy Burke track or two. I'm almost positive that we'll hear a couple of castmembers on the soundtrack, though when I caught up with Bill Condon recently, he danced around answering my direct question about the track list. He did tease an intriguing surprise on the film's score, but I think we'd all like to know a few more official details.
ENJOY.. Miko XD
GOD bless you
